Dr. Charlotte Chamberlain is a managing director in equity research at Jefferies & Company, Inc. covering financial services--primarily new economy banks, wired financials and thrifts.
For the past three years Dr. Chamberlain has been voted among the top three analysts at Jefferies by the Firm's equity salesforce.
Prior to joining Jefferies, Dr. Chamberlain was a vice president at Wedbush Morgan, a Los Angeles-based securities firm specializing in West Coast companies.
Previously, Dr. Chamberlain was vice chair of NewAmerica Savings where she directed all financial, operations and regulatory aspects of the bank.
Prior to that, Dr. Chamberlain was executive vice president and director of strategic planning at Glendale Federal Bank, where she chaired the Asset/Liability Committee and was a member of the Operating and Investment Committees.
Dr. Chamberlain has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts and the National Association of Business Economists.
Chamberlain received a B.A. degree with highest honors and distinction from the University of Connecticut.
She holds an M.A. and a Ph.D.
in economics from Cornell University.
