Mr. Charles Ooi is a Founding Principal & Head of Credit Fixed Income at Tahan Capital Management Pte Ltd.
He has consistently been highly ranked as Asia’s leading high yield and Distressed Credit Analyst in multiple research surveys since he worked as a Senior Credit Research Analyst in HSBC, Hong Kong and thereafter at UBS AG.
Prior to Tahan Capital, Mr. Ooi was a Managing Director at UBS running its Asian Strategic Investment Group that included credit trading and distressed credit etc.
He started his career with Ernst & Young as a Senior Staff Accountant in 1994.
Mr. Ooi graduated from University of Toronto with Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree (High Distinction).
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder and is a Chartered Accountant (CA).
