Mr. Askar Mukashov is a Junior Researcher at Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
His research at the institute focuses on development economics, in particular on such areas as economic growth, inequality, fiscal policies, and macroeconomic stability.
The primary tools employed in his work are country-specific Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models and various satellite models.
Currently, he is working in close cooperation with the Office of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Cairo and the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Kiel University.
He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
Before joining the institute, he graduated with an M.Sc.
in Quantitative Economics Program at the University of Kiel and continued his studies in the doctoral program.
He received his doctoral degree in economics in August 2021.
