Dr. Adjei is Vice President of Aerosol Research and Development for Kos' Aeropharm Technology Group.
His responsibilities include the development of the Company's experimental design in drug formulation research and optimization of systemic delivery of peptide and protein drugs.
He brings 24 years of Aerosol Pharmaceutical experience to Kos.
Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Adjei spent 17 years at Abbott Laboratories as a Research Fellow, where he investigated a variety of formulation and pre-formulation variables that influence peptide transport across biologic membranes.
Dr. Adjei frequently presents at scientific meetings and continuously reviews manuscripts on behalf of the International Journal of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Pharmaceutics, and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
He has co-edited one book, authored several chapters in widely recognized scientific manuscripts and published more than 50 patents, including 38 in the United States and several other in Europe.
Dr. Adjei is a member of several professional and honorary societies, including the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
He holds a Ph.D.
in Pharmaceutics from the University of Texas at Austin.
