Mr. Giron joined New Mexico State Investment in 2004.
Mr. Giron has years of real estate development experience and continues to be active in this field.
He retired as Chairman of the Board of The Bank of Belen earlier this year, 12 years after co-founding the institution.
Under his guidance, the bank's assets grew from $2 million to more than $100 million, and became the first New Mexico bank to achieve "trustee bank" status for the Department of Energy.
Mr. Giron is a past president of the Belen Chamber of Commerce and founded the Valencia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
He is past president of the University of New Mexico Valencia Foundation, and chaired the committee that helped establish the UNM Valencia campus.
Mr. Giron is also the former president of the Kiwanis Club of Belen.
