Mr. Kris Somers, CFA MBA, is a Director of Global FICC at BMO Capital Markets Corp.
(Canada).
He has been with BMO Capital Markets since 2011, and joined the fixed income research team in 2015.
In his current role he is responsible for coverage of all non-common equity parts of the capital structure for the Canadian Bank and Insurance sectors, as well as Asset Backed Securities and certain U.S.
financials.
Prior to this, Mr. Somers spent four years in equity research as a key member of the Communications and Media team, and worked in corporate development at an IT and operations outsourcing firm during a period of rapid expansion.
He is a past-member of the Toronto CFA Society Fixed Income Committee and currently sits on the society’s Corporate Finance committee.
He holds an MBA from McMaster University, and is a CFA charterholder.
