Mr. José Augusto de Carvalho is Partner at Axxon Group Serviços de Consultoria e Assessoria Ltda.
Prior to joining Axxon Group in 2001, Mr. Carvalho spent seven years in Mergers & Acquisitions with two local investment banks, Banco Pactual (94/96) and Banco BBA (96/01), with responsibilities for deal origination, negotiation and client relationship management.
Primarily focused on mid-to-large companies, his assignments included buy and sell side advisory services to various local and international companies in different sectors (e.g.
chemicals, food products, retailing, etc.) in transactions ranging from US$50 million to US$1 billion.
He had previously held engineering positions with Pirelli Cabos Brasil and in development and production management positions with Dacarto S/A Ind.
Plásticos, one of the largest PVC compounds manufacturers in South America.
Mr. Carvalho holds an MBA in Finance from Duke University (USA), an Industrial Management post-graduate degree from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Sao Paulo.
He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
