Joanie Berard

Joanie Bérard is a Director, Fund Accounting at Sagard and joined the firm in 2019.
Joanie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day fund operations, NAV calculations, and accounting of capital activities for Portage Ventures, Sagard’s venture capital arm.
She is a member of the finance team and is based in Montreal, Canada.
Prior to Sagard, Joanie spent 7 years at PSP Investments where she was most recently a Director on the Investment Finance team.
Before that, she worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte.
Joanie holds a B.B.A. as well as Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy (DESS en comptabilité professionnelle – CPA) from HEC Montreal, Canada.
She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
