Mr. Shrainka joined Edward Jones' Research department in 1982.
He became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1986 and was named a principal in the firm in 1988.
In 1996, he joined the Investment Policy Advisory Committee as the firm's chief market strategist.
Mr. Shrainka has been quoted in nearly every major media outlet and often appears on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business and PBS' Nightly Business Report.
In addition, he has also taught classes in retirement planning at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Mr. Shrainka earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1983 and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990.
