The holding company was formed for the purpose of building and developing not only a successful and profitable holding company, but also to charter a life insurance company to serve residents of the state. When completed, the proposed insurance company, Frontier Life, will be the first domiciled life insurance company in the state of Idaho in recent history.

Part of Midwest Holding, Inc., American Life & Security Corp. provides life insurance services. The company is based in Lincoln, NE. Mark A. Oliver has been the CEO of the company since 2009.
