Mr. Timothy McCarthy is Co-Chief Investment Officer at VTB Capital Asset Management CJSC.

Mr. McCarthy has a strong track record in portfolio management across a range of long-only and long/short equity and fixed-income funds and strategies.
He previously worked at Valartis Asset Management in Geneva, Switzerland, where Mr. McCarthy was the Head of Asset Management.
Prior to Valartis Asset Management, he was the CIO and Portfolio Manager at Red Star Asset Management, where Mr. McCarthy managed a low volatility and market neutral hedge fund investing in Russia & CIS markets.
He was also CIO and PM at Troika Dialog Asset Management for six years.
Before moving to Russia in 1994, Mr. McCarthy was a senior consultant at Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting in New York.
Mr. McCarthy has an MBA in Finance and a BS in Economics from the State University of New York.
