Stephen Ko is a Founding Partner of BayPine.
Mr. Ko has spent most of his career in the private equity industry, principally at KKR, where he was most recently a Managing Director and head of the firm’s Consumer & Retail investment team in the Asia-Pacific region.
Previously he was a member of KKR’s North American private equity platform and also held roles at Blackstone, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Ko’s investment experience has been distinguished by a combination of thematic investing, creative transaction structuring and operational value creation.
Over the course of the last 25 years, he has been involved with numerous high-profile investments at several of the world’s leading private equity firms.
He has successfully executed multiple transactions in the consumer, healthcare, industrial, business services, energy and technology sectors, across an extensive range of company situations, transaction and financing structures, and geographies including the United States and Asia.
Mr. Ko has served on a large number of public and private boards of directors.
He holds an AB from Harvard College, an M.Phil from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
