While there, he developed several proprietary trading programs and also co-authored numerous studies.
Mr. Smith began his career at Lehman Brothers in New York within the mortgage-backed trading group.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Mr. Smith holds an M.B.A in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a B.A in Finance from the University of Denver.
