Mr. Capelo joined Gleacher & Co. Securities on its June 2010 formation, the merger that took place between Broadpoint.Amtech Equity Capital Markets and Broadpoint.Gleacher Securities.
Prior to that, he was Co-Head of the Distressed group at SAC Capital Advisors.
Formerly, he worked as a Senior Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Ahab Capital Management.
Before joining Ahab, he was a Senior Associate and Vice President in the Restructuring group at Jefferies where he focused on advising both debtors and creditors in both in- and out-of-court restructurings.
Previous to Jefferies, he worked as an Associate in the Restructuring group at Rothschild and as an Analyst in Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin Restructuring group.
He began his career at Zolfo Cooper, a boutique specializing in turnarounds and reorganizations of distressed companies.
Mr. Capone received a B.S.
in Finance and Information Systems from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
