After working as the quality control manager for a national company in Algeria, and then as the financial director of businesses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he returned to AFD in 1988 as a financial analyst.
Appointed head of accounting in 1990, he took over management in 1993.
Mr. Etienne Viard joined PROPARCO in 1999 as the director of operations.
