Mr. Elan joined Windward from Ernst & Young, where he was a Senior Manager responsible for investments within the Personal Financial Counseling practice in New England.
Prior to Ernst & Young, he was a Vice President in the Investment Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he managed client portfolios of equities, fixed income, convertible securities, and derivatives.
He has extensive experience advising clients on hedging and risk management strategies.
Mr. Elan earned a B.S.
in Interdisciplinary Studies, summa cum laude, from Boston University, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and has passed the Series 3, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 exams.
He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Mr. Elan was twice a sub-three hour finisher of the Marine Corp Marathon, and still enjoys competitive running.
