Mr. Dave F.
LaMay is an Advisor at Essex Financial Services, Inc. He joined Essex Financial Services in 2010.
Prior to that, he spent over 10 years with Fidelity Investments, 7 of which, as Vice President and Senior Account Executive with Fidelity’s Private Client Group.
His career began in 1991 as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch.
Mr. LaMay also worked with Shawmut Investment Advisors and Aetna Financial Services where, in addition to his role as Sales Manager and FINRA Supervisor, he served on Aetna’s Management Advisory Council.
He has several years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
Active in his community, Mr. LaMay serves on the Old Saybrook Board of Finance and is past member of the Old Saybrook Zoning Board of Appeals and the Connecticut River Gateway Commission.
He is a part time Adjunct Instructor at Albertus Magnus College and serves part time as a Personal Financial Counselor with MHN Government Services, where he provides Service Members, including the National Guard and Reserve Components and their families with professional, individualized financial planning and consultation services.
Mr. LaMay is a graduate of Xavier High School in Middletown and served 6 years on the Xavier High School Alumni Association Board of Directors.
He earned a BS in Financial Management from Franklin Pierce University and an MBA from The University of Connecticut.
He is a Certified Financial Planner and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Mr. LaMay is also Certified in Long Term Care.
He holds the Series 7, 9/10, 24, 63 and 65 securities registrations, as well as the State of Connecticut Life Insurance and Variable Contracts licenses.
He is a native of and currently resides in Old Saybrook with his wife and daughter.
