Mr. Christopher J.
Helwig is Managing Director & Strategist at Amherst Pierpont Securities LLC.
He will be responsible for further developing Amherst Pierpont's extensive mortgage-backed securities strategy, with special emphasis on supporting investors whose needs include asset-liability management in addition to fundamental and relative value in the residential markets.
Prior to joining Amherst Pierpont in December 2015, Mr. Helwig was most recently Director and Co-Head of U.S.
Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Research at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. At Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., he led a research team as part of the firm's agency and non-agency mortgage-backed securities and structured products unit, advising institutional clients on portfolio and asset-liability management strategies.
He was previously employed as a Principal by Braver STern Securities LLC, a Principal by Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., and a Managing Director by Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc.
Mr. Helwig received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
