Girard, CFA MBA, is a Vice President & Portfolio Manager at 1832 Asset Management LP.

As a member of the 1832 Asset Management fixed income team, he is responsible for the analysis and management of credit exposure across certain funds and client portfolios.
Since joining the firm, he has established a successful track record in value-added trading, research and portfolio management.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Girard spent six years in Corporate Credit and Corporate Banking at Scotiabank.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma.
He is a CFA charter holder and is a past director of the Toronto CFA Society.
