12 Janvier 2012 - 1855 sells 15,000 wine bottles on first day of sales - PRESS RELEASES
1855 today announces that it has sold 15,000 wine bottles on the first day of the sales, which represents an increase of more than 50% from the January 2011 sales.
"Three reasons account for this performance. First, we offer a wide range of wines, with more than 500 products. Second, discounts are attractive, up to 50% off. Lastly, the wines are all available individually".
"These first results are an encouraging start for 2012" says President Emeric Sauty de Chalon.
1855 was the year when Napoleon III had the greatest wines of Bordeaux classified. Today, 1855 offers wine lovers the largest choice of the Internet, with more than 25,000 listed. The aim of 1855 is to build the world's leading luxury brand in the sale of great wines.
