Mr. Thomas Sanders, CPA, is a Director of Financial Services & Controller at The Andrew W.
Mellon Foundation.
He joined the Foundation in 2004 and serves as its Director of Financial Services and Controller.
In this capacity he oversees the Foundation's accounting department including investment accounting, grant accounting, payroll, and payables.
He is also responsible for maintaining the system of internal accounting controls and for financial reporting.
From 2001 to early 2004, Mr. Sanders served as chief financial officer of a major division of Automatic Data Processing.
In this role he was responsible for all financial functions for this multinational division.
Prior to joining ADP, Mr. Sanders was corporate controller of Reliance Group Holdings (1988-2001); and senior audit manager with KPMG (1979-1988).
Mr. Sanders, a certified public accountant, has a BBA degree in Accounting from Pace University (1979).
