Mr. Sturges served as a director and the Chief Financial Officer of Hawkeye Communication, LLC, a $100 million private holding company engaged in direct advertising in the US and UK.
For ten years before joining Hawkeye, he was Executive Vice President of The Harding Group, a private equity investment firm.
He began his career in finance as an investment banker with Bear Stearns, where he became a general partner in 1981.
As an investment banker and private equity investor, his industry experience has been broadly focused in manufacturing, energy & natural resources, shipbuilding, retailing, publishing, health care and financial services.

He has previously been a director of numerous private companies, which he had organized or invested in as leveraged buy-outs.
Mr. Sturges received his BA from Amherst College in 1966 and his MBA from Columbia University School of Business in 1972.
