In 1995, she was a consultant to the World Bank in Washington, D.C., assisting the pension investment team in its evaluation of global portfolio risk.
She began her investing career in New York where she spent a decade (1984-1994) at Sanford C.
Bernstein & Co., focusing largely on private client management.
Ms. Balaran received her undergraduate degree from George Washington University.
