Ms. Fairbanks is Founder & Managing Member of Main Lodge Associates.
Since 1997, Ms. Fairbanks created family investment partnerships with a particular focus on funding oil support services for deepwater drilling.
From 1990 to 2000, Ms. Fairbanks was a partner in firms affiliated with the U.S.-based private equity firm, Keystone, which was at that time the principal investment vehicle of Robert M.
Bass of Fort Worth, Texas.
Prior to joining Keystone, she served in a number of U.S.
government positions, including as Executive Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, a major U.S.
federal bank regulatory agency that oversaw the savings and loan industry, and the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, the insurance fund for the savings and loan industry from 1983 to 1987.
Ms. Fairbanks served as Deputy Assistant Director for Economic Policy on the White House Domestic Policy Staff of President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1983.
Ms. Fairbanks currently serves on the Board of ING Bank N.A., the U.S.
bank subsidiary of the Dutch financial services company, where she is Chairman of the Governance and Compensation Committees.
She is also a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the French-American Foundation in New York since 2002, a Board member of the French-American Foundation in France since 2006 and a member of the National Committee of the Aspen Music Festival since 2001.
She is also a member of the International Women's Forum in Washington, D.C.
since 1996.
Mrs. Fairbanks graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart (Boston) B.A.
Philosophy, and received double Masters’ degrees in Public Policy from Columbia University in 1979.
