Mr. Wachtel has over seven years of experience in the options industry.
He began his career as a Market Maker on the Chicago Board Options Exchange in the International Business Machines trading crowd.
In 1995 he entered the legal profession, taking a position with a private law firm.
In 1997, Mr. Wachtel returned to the Chicago Board Options Exchange as an investigator in the Department of Market Regulation, where he interpreted and enforced CBOE and SEC rules and regulations.
Mr. Wachtel's legal and options background proved to be a valuable asset in 2000, when he joined American Option Services, Inc. as the firm's Financial and Operations Principal and Compliance Officer.
In this role, he successfully piloted the firm through the process of becoming an independent broker dealer.
He was also instrumental in securing the firm's NASD, CBOE, and NFA memberships.
Mr. Wachtel is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University Of Dayton School Of Law.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar.
