LightStream Research, Inc. (LSR) is an independent investment research firm headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The firm was founded by Mio Kato in 2017 with the goal of melding traditional research with alternative data and AI to provide deeper insights into companies, industries and economic conditions. Their Asian focus is centered on Japan and India with a particular emphasis on the automotive, machinery and materials sectors and the technological developments impacting them.
