Mr. Ronald P.
Petrie is Head of the Asia Japan at Standard Life Investments Ltd.
In 2002, he moved to Standard Life’s Boston office managing US equities for two years, before moving back to the UK to focus on managing European equities for the Standard Life main fund.
In 2005, Mr. Petrie was appointed Head of Global Emerging Markets.
In October 2008, he was appointed Head of the Asia Japan team.
He has over 19 years of investment experience at Standard Life Investments with more than 26 years of experience in the industry.
Mr. Petrie has spent most of his career investing in Pacific Basin markets.
Starting at Scottish Equitable followed by two years spent in a Hong Kong hedge fund, he has covered all the Pacific Basin markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.
He has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
