Mr. Varma joined AIM in 2008.
He has been in private investing and investment banking since 2004.
His most recent experience was at Seneca Capital, a $1 billion multi-strategy equities hedge fund based in Dallas.
Prior to that, he was an Analyst at ITU Ventures in Los Angeles, a $100 million early stage venture capital firm investing in technology spin-outs from universities and research laboratories.
At ITU, he led and managed a variety of transactions and served on the board of rfXcel, one of the firm's portfolio companies.
He began his career at Montgomery & Co. in investment banking.
Mr. Varma holds an MBA and MS from Stanford University, and a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
