Mr. Cohen joined Behrman Capital in April 200.
Previously, Mr. Cohen was a Partner of Lindsay Goldberg & Bessemer, a $2 billion private equity fund which was the successor to a family investment vehicle, Bessemer Holdings.
He spent 12 years at Lindsay Goldberg & Bessemer (including its predecessor) where he served on the board of six portfolio companies including Essex International, Paint Sundry Brands Corporation, Metropolitan International, Inc. and Small Tube Products Co., Inc. Prior to joining Bessemer, Mr. Cohen was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc., where he performed advisory work focused on the technology and communications sectors.
From 1984 through 1988, Mr. Cohen was actively involved in the public accounting and corporate finance sectors in South Africa.
Mr. Cohen earned an MBA in Finance with distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1990.
He earned a postgraduate degree in Financial Accounting in 1984 and an undergraduate degree in Business with distinction in 1982, both from the University of The Witwatersrand in South Africa.
