Mr. Richard Fox is Senior Director at Fitch Ratings Ltd.
Prior to joining Fitch in 1997, he held a variety of posts in the public and private sectors.
His career began at the Bank of England in 1976.
In 1981, Mr. Fox was assigned to HM Treasury to help with their world forecast and was involved in an early study of the developing country debt problem ahead of the 1980s debt crisis.
In 1985, he was assigned to the IMF in Washington D.C.
to work for the UK Executive Director.
On his return to London in 1997, Mr. Fox was appointed Deputy Head of International Economics at Midland Bank where he specialised in Latin America.
In 1993, he moved to Standard Chartered Bank providing economic advice and analysis for both the commercial and investment bank on country risk, portfolio management, business strategy and treasury and capital markets issues.
Mr. Richard Fox has a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of London.
