Stefnir hf is the wholly-owned asset management subsidiary of Arion banki HF, ultimately held by Kaupthing ehf in Iceland. Headquartered in Reykjavik, the firm was founded in 1996 and manages the Stefnir range of mutual, investment and institutional investment funds for retail and professional clients.

Kaupthing Bank Asset Management Co. hf (KBAM), also known as Rekstrarfelag Kaupthing Búnadarbanki hf, is a wholly-owned subsidiary and the Reykjavik-based asset management operation of Kaupthing Bank Group (ICEX: KAUP). The firm was established in 1996. The asset management arm of the Kaupthing group is headquartered in Switzerland, with investment management teams operating in Iceland, the UK, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway and the Faroe Islands. KBAM's clients are institutions and private individuals. The firm manages a diverse range of Icelandic mutual funds. The parent bank is an active private equity investor, participating through loans and venture capital in the financing of companies considered to have good potential.
