Prior to joining ING Investment Management in May 2002, Mr. Gyra served as President and Chief Executive Officer of ING's Baring Asset Management-North America, where he was responsible for its North American businesses.
Prior to Baring, Mr. Gyra held various senior management positions within ING's asset management and investment banking groups.
He served as the Finance Director of ING Asset Management and also spent three years with ING Barings as its Global Head of Internal Audit.
Mr. Gyra has experience in the international financial services industry and has held positions in the US, Europe and Australia with CS First Boston, Harvard Management Company, and Ernst & Young.
Mr. Gyra received a BS Honors in Accounting from Providence College in 1984 and became a CPA in 1986.
In 1998 he attended the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
