Cardoso, CFA MBA, is a Vice President & Portfolio Manager at Burgundy Asset Management Ltd.
He joined Burgundy in 2016 as an Investment Analyst focusing on U.S.
small- and mid-cap equities.
He has over 5 years of combined professional experience.
He developed a passion for investing in university while picking stocks as Chair of the Queen’s University Investment Counsel.
After graduation, his career took him to New York, where he worked in investment banking and private equity, and was actively involved in the acquisition of several private companies.
During this experience, Mr. Cardose learned the skills of in-depth, bottom-up fundamental analysis and developed an appreciation for the paramount importance of meeting with companies to assess the quality of their management teams.
His experience includes positions at Onex Partners and Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division.
Mr. Cardoso received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Commerce degree (First Class Honors) from Queen’s University.
