Before joining Chancellor in 1993, he was an equity analyst at Scudder, Stevens & Clark for seven years, covering the auto, building materials, natural gas pipeline and oil service industries.
He began his career in 1979 at Ameritrust Company (now part of Key Corporation) and later served as senior investment officer in the trust department, a position he held until 1985.
Mr. Kirpalani received a BTech in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
He is a member of both the CFA Society New York and the CFA Institute, and is a CFA charterholder.
