Prior to joining HMC in 2006, Ms. Murtagh was a partner in the Business Law Department and a member of the Financial Services Group of Goodwin Procter LLP, a law firm based in Boston, MA.
Ms. Murtagh earned a B.S.
in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a J.D.
from Cornell Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review.
She served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Franklin S.
Billings, Jr. of the U.S.
Federal District Court for the District of Vermont.
She is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and New York and is Vice Chair of the American Bar Association's Institutional Investors Committee.
