Prior to joining AIM in 2005, Mr. Kim was a junior portfolio manager for a convertible bond arbitrage hedge fund in the Midwest.
He began his investment career in 1993 as a sales and trading assistant with Morgan Stanley.
In 1996, Mr. Kim joined Webster Management Group as its trader/desk operations manager.
He later joined KBC Financial Products (D.E.
Shaw) as a convertible bond trader.
In 2001, he took a position as an emissions options portfolio manager with Shell Trading Gas & Power before joining the hedge fund in 2003.
Mr. Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in finance and statistics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
