Joe Rosen, President of FinTech advisory firm, RKA Inc., is an electronic trading industry veteran with experience as an exchange executive, cio & quant, author, lecturer, market researcher, expert witness, and as a developer and marketer of electronic trading systems.
Prior to incorporating RKA Inc. in 2006, he was Managing Director, Trading Technology/Head of Technology Marketing at the New York Stock Exchange, where he promoted NYSE’s trading/technology products.
Previously, he was a managing partner for ten years at financial technology consultancy Enterprise Technology Corp.[ETC], where he served as a ‘C-Level’ strategic planning consultant, built bespoke trading systems for a broad cross-section of international financial institutions, and was responsible for business development and client relations.
During his ETC tenure, he grew the business ten-fold, while acquiring sixty new clients.
Prior to ETC, he was the founding Chief Information Officer & Director of Quantitative Research for Highbridge Capital.
Before this he was a managing consultant and software engineer at TCAM Systems, where he developed one of the first electronic trading systems.
Joe has contributed in various capacities to over a hundred organizations across all segments of the global securities and investments industry.
He has lectured globally, and been widely published, including six books, most recently, The Handbook of Electronic Trading.
His degrees include an MBA from Columbia University, and a Masters as well as Doctoral Candidacy in Political Science from Stony Brook University, which included a concentration in Quantitative Methods.
Since 2012, he has been Adjunct Professor of Management & Marketing at Manhattan College’s O’Malley School of Business, where teaches his highly acclaimed course ‘Business, Government & Society’.
Joe served in a combat infantry brigade of the IDF between 1974 and 1976.
