Prior to joining MacKay Shields in September 2008, Mr. Ramsay had been with Robeco Investment Management since 2007.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ramsay spent four years with PIMCO.
He began his investment career in 1983 as the Treasurer for Superior Federal Bank, F.S.B., responsible for portfolio management, interest rate forecasting and liability management.
In 1986, he joined Salomon Brothers, Inc. as a mortgage securities trader.
Mr. Ramsay joined UNUM Provident in 1991 where he became a Senior Vice President, responsible for firms Investment Division and a member of the Investment Subcommittee of the Board.
He joined AIG/SunAmerica in 2000 as a Senior Managing Director for AIG Global Investment Corp., responsible for managing SunAmericas $60 billion investment grade domestic fixed income portfolio.
Mr. Ramsay holds a B.S.B.A.
degree in finance and banking from the University of Arkansas and NASD licenses 7, 24 and 63.
