Mr. Jérôme Halbout is a Founding Partner of 4D Global Energy Advisors.
His experience in the energy sector dates to 1992, as Head of the Energy Project Finance teams of Crédit Lyonnais and Lazard Frères & Cie.
Subsequently Senior Banker, Head of the Energy/Utilities Sector at Crédit Lyonnais, his responsibilities covered all of the bank's activities worldwide in the industry.
Before working in the Finance Industry, Mr. Halbout undertook 10 years of basic research at France's CNRS and as a post-doc at the Enrico Fermi Institute of the University of Chicago.
A graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, Mr. Halbout is Doctor es Sciences in France and gained a Ph.D in Geochemistry from the University of Paris.
In 2003 he was appointed to the Board of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon.
Mr. Halbout has chaired and participated in numerous industry panels, including as Energy Expert for the International Energy Agency and as vice-chairman of the financing committee of the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l'Energie.
He was appointed a director of the GEP, the association of French oil services companies, in 2006.
