Along with Dr. Rombel's current position with Greenway Capital, she is also with Biomedical Intelligence LLC & Walker Smith (WS Capital) as a consultant.
Prior to this, Dr. Rombel was with Cimmarron Biomedical Investors, and prior to joining them, she served as Manager of Intellectual Property and Business Development for the Center of Biomedical Inventions at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas from 2001-2004.
In addition, she was a faculty member at UT Southwestern in the Department of Internal Medicine from 1998-2004.
Before joining UT Southwestern, Dr. Rombel was a post-doctoral fellow at UC Berkeley from1995-1997 and UC Davis from 1993-1995.
In total, she spent 15 years in research in the areas of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Dr. Rombel holds a Ph.D.
in Biochemistry from the University of Otago in New Zealand (1993), is a registered U.S.
Patent Agent (2003), and received her MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in May 2005 (graduated top of the EMBA 2005 class).
