Prior to Vulcan, Mr. Bell headed the business development out-licensing efforts for cancer vaccines and innate, immuno-modulators for Corixa Corporation.
Prior to Corixa, Mr. Bell worked for Seattle-based Tredegar Investments where he was actively involved with several successful biotechnology and medical device investments.
Earlier, he worked for Aksys, Ltd., where he developed methods for reprocessing and evaluating dialyzers—work for which he was awarded several patents.
Mr. Bell holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an MSE in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
