Ms. Elise Stern is a Managing Director at Merriman Capital, Inc. Prior to joining Merriman Capital in May 2003, she worked at Indianapolis, where she was most recently the President of IM Ventures, a division of Ice Miller, the citys largest law firm.
IM Ventures provided financial services to corporate clients including raising capital for early stage companies, due diligence and evaluating and monitoring of private equity investments.
Prior to IM Ventures, Ms. Stern was a victim of the dot-com bubble, having joined two startups, Citiquest.com and iProperty.com as VP of strategic business development and VP of organizational development, respectively.
While both companies were dissolved, her entrepreneurial spirit was not.
Before that, Ms. Stern was with Merrill Lynch, in their Carmel, Indiana office as a financial consultant specializing in wealth management for significantly high net worth investors.
Prior to life in Indiana, Ms. Stern held various positions in financial services in both San Francisco and New York, including roles such as Vice President, Institutional Sales for Montgomery Securities; Head of Mabon Securities West Coast Office and Head of Corporate and Venture Services at Volpe Brown Whelan.
Ms. Stern was graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and she received her M.B.A.
from Fordham University in New York City.
