Mr. Wate founded Merit Capital Management, Seattle, Washington in 1995, managing and operating aggressive hedge funds utilizing earnings revisions, insider trading data and other fundamental analysis.
Previously, Mr. Wate had been Director of Portfolio Management at Parametric Portfolio Associates, a subsidiary of Pacific Mutual Asset Management Co, responsible for overseeing portfolios with more than $2 billion of equity exposure in over 30 countries.
He also has worked with Frank Russell Investment Management Co. in Tacoma and Cooney & Blair public accounting firm in Newport Beach, CA.
