Deborah Sykes joined Castle Creek in 2021 and is the Chief Financial & Compliance Officer.
She has primary oversight of the funds’ third-party administrator and in-house accounting.
In addition, Deborah oversees the various Compliance programs and the related vendors.
Prior to joining the firm, Deborah worked in the alternative investment industry overseeing the preparation of fund accounting, investor allocations, fee calculations, and audit drafts for hedge funds and private equity funds.
Her work included an emphasis on training staff, streamlining processing, and designing automated tools.
As part of her efforts, Deborah is a founding member of Hedge Pro Solutions, a software solution for the fund administration industry.
Prior to joining the alternative investment industry, Deborah was a consultant developing database solutions at Beaird Group and was a Controller for Peterson Consulting (since acquired by Navigant).
Deborah is a registered CPA (Illinois), member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
