Mr. David Thompson is a Head of Analysis & Investments at CP2 Group Ltd.
He has over 30 years experience in finance and the Infrastructure investment sector, and has worked in or consulted to Infrastructure/Utilities, Ports, Airports, Oil and Gas, Electricity, Water, Resources, Manufacturing, Mining, Transport, Telecommunications, Financial Services and Funds Management.
He previously led the Queensland Office of a National Valuation Practice and was a Corporate Finance Director at one of the big 4 accounting firms.
During his career, Mr. Thompson has offered valuation services to public and private businesses across a wide range of industries to meet their decision management, compliance and transaction advisory needs.
This involved regular valuations for unlisted infrastructure assets for Fund Managers as well as purchase price allocations, impairment tests, cost of capital reviews, financial model builds and reviews.
Mr. Thompson has held executive positions as Head of Finance and Corporate Development leading mergers and acquisitions for a large national infrastructure firm and an international steel company.
He has run his own consulting business offering valuation services, strategic consulting, business plans and financial analysis and modelling to a range of investors and infrastructure asset managers.
Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Commerce degree.
