Mr. David Chai is Head of Global Structured Products at State Street Global Advisors Asia Ltd.
He is responsible for overseeing indexing investment in the region of Asia ex-Japan.
He joined State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Limited in May 2001 as a Portfolio Manager in the Global Structured Products Group.
In 2006, David was relocated to Hong Kong to take up the existing position.Prior to joining SSgA, David worked for over four years at Commonwealth Investment Management as a portfolio manager in the Index and Transition Team, where he was responsible for the passive and index enhanced equities portfolio.
Prior to that role, he worked for Commonwealth Funds Management as a quantitative analyst.
Mr. Chai was awarded a Master of Science degree, majoring in Mathematical Statistics, in February 1996.
This was preceded by a First Class Honours degree in Science from Monash University, Victoria.
