Mr. Barkley is the Founder and Managing Partner of Platform Ventures, a growth equity investment firm based in New York focused on consumer products, business services, and technology investments.
Prior to founding Platform Ventures, Mr. Barkley founded and served as President of BoxTop Media LLC (dba FreshSpace Media), a marketing firm providing advertising and promotional services to many of the largest consumer brands in the U.S.
Mr. Barkley has deep operating experience in building and profitably exiting media and technology companies (Advantage Solutions, FreshSpace Media, Avid Networks, and CitySearch).
In addition to those exits, Mr. Barkley was one of the first investors in Peloton, a breakthrough cutting edge fitness product.
Mr. Barkley is the Chairman for Tag Sensors, board member of Waggle, Rambler, Shadowbox, and University Furnishings, and has served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Warburg Pincus.
