He has also been a senior economist at HSBC, an Economic Advisor at both HM Treasury and the National Economic Development Office (NEDO) and a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Liverpool.
He served as a Chief Examiner for the Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) during the 1990s.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
