Professor Jakubeit was President of the German Federal Construction Authority from 1990 to 1994.
After a period as professor at Darmstadt Technical University from 1995 to 1996, Professor Jakubeit became the Berlin Senate building director with the rank of a state secretary.
Until the beginning of 2000, she was responsible for all the building projects of political significance in Berlin.
At Fraport AG, she is responsible for real estate development and facility management.
