Headquartered in Oslo, the firm was founded in 1989 and initially known as Industrifinans Fondsforvaltning AS. They merged with Alfred Berg Fondforvaltning AS in 2000 and was renamed Alfred Berg Kapitalforvaltning AS in 2008 after ABN AMRO's asset management business was acquired by Fortis SA/NV. AB Kapital manages mutual funds for institutions, private individuals, pension funds and third party distributors. They are a socially responsible investor which incorporates ethical, legal, social and environmental criteria in their investment process.
